Switzerland / Lugano / Clothing Store
Arianna Lelli Mami,
creative director of Milan-based design firm Studiopepe,
and Chiara Di Pinto designed Avart,
a new fashionable clothing boutique located in the center of Lugano, Switzerland.
The interior features natural tones and soft geometric shapes,
using material contrasts and textures to create a cozy atmosphere that highlights refinement and modern femininity.
Nude fine sand covers the walls and floors, forming a neutral and sensual shell that enhances the shape of the interior volume.
Rough gray cylindrical columns and spiral staircases, like a continuous ribbon, connect the boutique’s two floors, becoming a key sculptural element of the store.
The gray fused glass partitions divide the space into different functional areas.
Glass is also used for decorative elements, such as the large branched pendant lamp by Barovier & Toso, and the Venini appliqué decorating the fitting area.
Works by Studiopepe can be seen everywhere.
Adrianna and Chiara collaborated with local Bedano craftsmen Veragouth and Xilema carpenters to achieve key spatial elements. Natural brass clothes hangers hang on the walls, creating graphic shapes against a neutral background. Precious pink mirrored overlays feature brass outlines and lime handles, opening to reveal an interior of pink leather and carpet.
